Sewing vinyl? It can get a bit sticky.
I’m a Canadian ambassador for Baby Lock sewing machines, so the machine I use for my projects is the Baby Lock Unity. This, along with a specially purchased inexpensive teflon foot attachment works really well to sew vinyl. Check to see if you have a teflon foot attachment and if you don’t, purchase one at your sewing store and I’ll show you how to use it in the video below.
In this video, I work on a portion of a new pattern – the Ooh La La Bag – to demonstrate this sewing foot and others.
The Ooh La La Bag pattern is already up at the store. You can find it here. Enjoy the video!

HI Brenda
are you going to have the ooh la la bag at the creative show in the spring and will they come in kits on just the pattern
Thanks Pam

Hi there Pam!
Yes, the pattern will most certainly be there. Fabric is such a personal thing, that I will not kit with fabric. However I will make a finishing kit with the stuff required in it. Actually I already have a finishing kit online which includes the Pellon Flex Foam. This foam stabilizer is a lightweight product so it’s pretty important to use it. The thing is the package of Flex Foam will make 4 of the Ooh La La bags. So you are paying for more than what you would require for one bag. However, the Flex Foam can also be used for other bags so I am hoping the price does not scare anyone away! Here’s a link to the finishing kit so you can see it. https://amongbrendasquilts.myshopify.com/admin/products/8511227728
